of Directors Meeting February 12th
7 pm. All members are welcome.
Christmas party coordinator steps down
after a
successful and profitable event held
at the
controversial site - The Tucson Women's
Club.
It was reported that a few members did
not
attend because of the site selected.
Some
explanations given were: a) the atmosphere
would not be correct, b) why go to a
place I go to
every Thursday. As a result the event
was
spectacular and what we projected in
attendance was right on the money. The
dinner
show idea resulted in a wonderful display
of
club talent and proved to be quite entertaining.
Feedback on the food was all positive.
Search
for a new coordinator for next event
has begun.
Holiday Party revenue: $2550.00
Holiday Party expense: $2347.69
Total income: $202.31

Bylaw revisions were presented and will
be
voted on at the Board meeting in April.
More
revisions to follow. A good faith attempt
will be
undertakened to notify the membership
of these
revisions through the use of the newsletter,
website, and by Email. No mass mailing
will
take place due to the cost of such an
endeavor. Members will be encouraged
to
attend the meeting to discuss any and/or
all
revisions submitted.
Transition process between the outgoing
Board
and the incoming Board was discussed.
Club Polo Shirts are for sale. See Ellen
Colonna (Dance Director) for details.
As a result of some interest, establishment
of a
foundation where upon members may make
a
donation to the Club for tax benefit
purposes
was discussed. Nonprofit status to be
reviewed.
Including this month's newsletter printing,
about
40 percent of the membership have submitted
e-
mail addresses for electronic delivery
of the club
news. Thank you to all of our members
saving
trees, and lowering newsletter costs.
Only ten
percent more are needed to reach the
goal of 50
percent electronic newsletter delivery.
