Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July. The GPSDC convention was once again a successful event and is definitely a convention that should be penciled in every year! Congratulations to all of the competitors for a job well done.

The Jack and Jill finals are here and let's take a moment to think about this club sponsored event. All year long club competitors participate in the monthly Jack and Jill contests. All trying to score qualifying points for this month's final. All showcasing their dance talent and level of expertise for the ultimate prize of being the best in their category. The work and the classes taken all year long for improving their style. This month's club finals is what it all about! Also think about what happens in the background throughout the year. The music selection by the music director. The phone calls for judges by the dance director. Think about the organization of each monthly contest and the effort put out by the Jack and Jill coordinator. Think about the advertising by the newsletter editor and the publicity director. In short, we are all in the finals. This is the what we all have worked hard for. Make August 15th a Thursday night that everyone should think of attending and supporting not only the competitors but the Tucson Swing Dance Club!

Please join me in expressing thanks to Alex Kosiorek, Vice President, for a job well done. Alex is leaving us soon. He has accepted a job position that will take him away from us! He will be headed for the East soon, so please take the time to thank him for his participation and contributions to the TSDC. Alex, good luck in your new job position and you can be comforted in knowing that the TSDC family is always here for you. 

As always, let me leave you with the same old message - bring a guest to our club! We love guests! Bring one or two to the finals!
