The Tucson Swing Dance Club is incorporated under the heading as an educational institution in the state of Arizona. It is no question that the community of Tucson usually begins a relationship with TSDC through the dance classes provided. I would like to send a special "thank you" from me and from the membership, to the special people known as our dance instructors. Thank you for taking time from your busy schedules to give us direction, and offering your insight on this fun dance called West Coast Swing. Our scheduled dance instructors for the past year were:

Without the volunteer work of Larry Mulhern, L Perez, and Alex Kosiorek this club would not be as much fun as they have made it! Thanks for playing the great dance tunes, and for staying late to put the equipment away, long after everyone has gone home! You guys are the greatest!

Each and every member has a say in the newsletter content and its looks. Whether you realize it or not, I have asked a large membership majority for input. In all cases, your answers have made the newsletter what it is now. I hope future newsletters will continue this endeavor. Thanks to all of you who have contributed articles to our newsletter. I say our, because the editor position is merely an organizer of the club thoughts. Something else to consider is that the last 12 issues have made the most advertising revenue in many years. Thanks to all for buying the ads! And finally, a huge club savings has been obtained by members receiving electronic notices, and reading this online at the club web site. Nearly 60 percent of the members are signed up for Internet reading, instead of paper. Thank you for saving trees.

Let's focus on the dance! For those of you who aren't familiar with my background, I have been on the Tucson Swing Dance Club board for....oh, boy, a long time. I have been vice president, president and dance director for several years. I am a court reporter in real life, and dancing and teaching is my hobby. Through my past experience on the board and my passion for dance, my focus this year, with all of your help and input, will be to expand our dance community and heighten the level of dancing in our club. So let's get groovin'!

Hello, I am running for the TSDC Treasurer. I have been a member of the club for 3 years and am the current Treasurer. I believe our club is a place that people can enjoy dance and fellowship with new people and develop old friends. As a non-profit organization budgets are restricted, I will do my best to manage the TSDC account with prudence. I have been a Tucson resident for over 20 years and working in the accounting field since 1994, I currently do bookkeeping for Courtney Realty & Investment.
