Letter from the President

My final message must include a word of thanks, so bear with me! To the Board of Directors, thank you so much! It was indeed a pleasure working with all of you. I do not think that the general member is fully aware of the discussions and debates on issues dealing with fairness, loyalty, and club positioning, all of which are common topics on the Board's agenda. Thank you for you professionalism and dedication to the Tucson Swing Dance Club. Even though the entire Board of Directors performed well, I have to single out some special people that really went beyond their job description on numerous occasions. 

To Ms. Linda De La Torre, thank you so much! I didn't let you enjoy your vacation from club politics for very long when I asked you to be appointed Vice President. Your knowledge of club rules and guidelines mixed in with good common sense made my job so much easier! Thanks for keeping me in line! 

To Mr. Bob Firl, as you found out the position of newsletter editor is not an easy one! However, by the way you handled yourself with newsletters issues and with dealing with customers, you made it look easy! Thank you for your computer insight, cost savings ideas, and for your part in the construction of the website. 

To Mr. Al Henderson, I have never met anyone that displays their dedication to the Club as much as you have! You participated in so many areas, from taking care of membership automobiles, to music equipment setup, to testing new competitors, to being our video quy. You were everywhere! You are indeed a valuable asset to the Club! Thank you so much! 

To Ms. Linda Lowell, Christmas party coordinator. Thanks for the great party you organized! The decorations were fantastic. The food was the best ever, and the dinner show was unsurpassed! But most of all, how you worked with the membership in seeking volunteers was magical! You have a great following, and I am one of them! Thanks for putting up with me! 

To Mrs. Carrie Rodriguez, I asked for a Club website and you came through with flying colors! This creation definitely marks a milestone in the history of the TSDC! Thank you very much! 

To Mr. Parker Anton, the voice of TSDC! Your announcing talents are second to none! Our Club events would not have been as successful without you as Master of Ceremonies! Thank you very much!

To Ms. Jan Naples, thank you for being my buddy! 

Finally, to the membership! Thank you very much for the opportunity! See you all on the dance floor!
